Teen Action Board (TAB)
The Teen Action Board (TAB) is our group of teen volunteers who help plan and implement programs at the library for other teens and children and assist the YA Services Librarian. Teens are anyone in grades 6-12 and under the age of 18.
Members have helped create visuals and artwork for both the Teen Room and the library's social media such as the images in the above slideshow.
TAB members have assisted the YA Services Librarian (Bryan Sotnyk) with planning and implementing programming such as Reading with Friends, STEM Saturday's, Nerd Prom, and Trivia Challenges among others.
The TAB Discord Server is a place for teens to interact with one another and the YA Services Librarian and to more directly assist in the planning of programs and influence the overall direction of teen programming in the library. Teens and their parents must sign and return the Discord Permission Form linked below to the YA Services Librarian to gain access.
To sign up for TAB, print and return the application linked below to the library or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
For upcoming programs, check the Calendar page.
The TAB Blog is one opportunity for TAB Members to earn volunteer hours by writing reviews of books, movies, TV shows, or music.
Teens can earn 1 hour of volunteer time for every review and are limited to writing 3 reviews per month. The reviews can be written about things that the library does not own.
Reviews should be more than 1 paragraph long and all submitted reviews will be reviewed by our YA Services Librarian before being posted.
