Teen Tech Week is a national initiative sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association. Aimed at teens, their parents, educators and other concerned adults, its purpose is to ensure that teens become competent, ethical users of technologies - especially those offered through libraries such as DVDs, databases, audiobooks, and videogames.
This year's theme -- Tune In @ Your Library -- focuses on music and sound. Programs are open to all 6th through 12th graders. Pre-registration is requested. To sign up contact Mary Kay Moran, Teen Librarian at 215-443-2609, extension 211 or email Mary Kay Moran at mmoran@mclinc.org.

| Monday, March 3 6:30 - 8:30 PM | Gaming @ Your Library Join in the library's first video gaming tournament featuring Dance, Dance Revolution for PS2. Dance your feet off to the latest hits and enjoy a night of fun, music and competition. A prize will be awarded to the winner. Free food! |
| Tuesday, March 4 6:30 - 8:30 PM | Air Guitar Contest "To air is human..." - Bjorn Turoque, professional air guitarist. Watch clips of champion air guitarists, then perform yourself. Contestants will be judged on technical merit, stage presence and "airness," and should bring a song/selection (on CD, less than 2 minutes) to perform, and should be prepared to improvise to a song selected by the judging panel. A prize will be awarded to the winner. More free food! |
| Wednesday, March 5 6:30 - 8:30 PM | Podcast book reviews Have you read a great book lately? Tell the world about it. Record your own review of your favorite book. Submit your reviews (no longer than 1-2 minutes, please) to Teen Librarian Mary Kay Moran at mmoran@mclinc.org. Recordings will be podcast from the Horsham Library website. |
| Thursday, March 6 6:30 - 8:30 PM | Open Mic Night Whether your strum, sing, slam poetry or perform some other artistic talent, we want you for the first ever library Open Mic Night. Please pre-approve your act with Teen Librarian Mary Kay Moran at mmoran@mclinc.org. Performances will be recorded for later podcasting on the library's website. Still more free food! |
| Friday, March 7 4 - 6 PM | Friday Afternoon Flicks Join your friends for a relaxing afternoon movie (guaranteed to be a recent release!) - complete with free popcorn and sodas. | Thanks to the Friends of the Horsham Library for providing the food, prizes and technical gear ! |
