Register beginning Monday, June 8 and receive your Making Waves Reading Record Packet. Keep track of all the reading you do at home, with friends and family, or as part of the "Reading with Friends" program between June 8th and August 6th. Read whatever you like - the choice is yours!

Follow the instructions on your Reading Record for chances to win small prizes from the Splash Bin and raffle tickets for the Splash Zone Big Prize Drawing.

Make waves this summer with the following activities at the library:

Learn to create computer animated stories and simple video games with Scratch, an open source software program from MIT. Share your code with teens in other communities via the MIT Scratch website.

Scratch classes for teens in grades 6 through 12 are limited to 10 people per session so that each user can work on a laptop computer. Pre-registration is required. To sign up call Teen Librarian Barbara Svoboda at (215) 443-2609 ext. 202 or email her at bsvoboda@mclinc.org.

Session 1 will be July 6, 7, 8 and 9 from 1:30 to 3 PM.
Session 2 will be July 27, 28, 29, and 30 from 1:30 to 3 PM.

Play video and board games in the library's video "arcade" Fridays June 18, July 23 and August 27.

Afternoon open houses geared for gamers in grades 3-5 run from Noon to 3 PM. Evening tournaments for gamers in grades 6-12 will be held from 5 to 8:30 PM.

Light dinner will be provided by local sponsors including Tonelli's Pizza and the Friends of the Horsham Library.

Slipped Stitchers Knitting Club

Learn to knit or crochet, or work on your own projects while you enjoy the conversation. Now open to all age groups so families why not make it a parent/child activity?

Wednesday evening sessions from 7 to 8:30 PM will be held June 2, 16, 30, July 12, 21, and August 4, 11, and 25.
Friday afternoon sessions from 4 to 5:30 PM will be held June 11, July 9, July 30 and August 20.
