Friends of the Horsham Library is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt non-profit corporation (EIN 23-3030763) created to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries; to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs; and to stimulate gifts, desirable collections, endowments and bequests.

The Friends of the Horsham Library working committees help the library provide programs and services, and support the library's fundraising efforts:

Arts Committee: Works with the library director to enhance the library's interior with works of art and to host exhibits & displays. Helps to identify local artists or local subjects of paintings, photographs or sculpture that could be displayed in the library permanently or in temporary art shows.

Book Brigade Committee: Helps the library shelve new books, DVDs and compact discs in their appropriate places in the new building.

Bookmarker's Ball Committee: Helps the Friends of the Horsham Library plan the annual "Bookmarker's Ball" fundraising dinner dance

Finance & Grants Committee: Works with the library director and officers of the Friends of the Horsham Library on major fundraising projects or grant applications for special projects.

Fundraising Committee: Works on raising money for Friends of the Horsham Library sponsored events and programs that need financial resources (for supplies, speaker honoraria, performers' fees, etc.). Works on raising money for equipment, library materials, or other major library acquisitions.

Hospitality Committee: Creates a welcoming atmosphere at the library, particularly during programs and events by organizing refreshments, greeting attendees, and assisting speakers and performers with logistics. Helps with operating the cafe.

Landscape & Gardening Committee: Works with the library director and township grounds keeping staff to enhance the library building with plants, shrubs and trees.

Membership Committee: Helps run the Friends of the Horsham Library membership drive. Tasks include: duplicating, folding and stuffing envelopes for mailing; updating membership database.

Program Committee: Works with the library staff to plan a schedule of Friends of the Horsham Library sponsored programs by generating program ideas, identifying and contacting speakers.

Public Relations Committee: Works on publicity for library programs and events. Sends out mailings to the Friends of the Horsham Library mailing list to announce programs, special events, and to distribute library news.
