Celebrating Books Clubs IISaturday, April 30, 2011: 160 avid readers representing 22 local book discussion groups laughed out loud at author Jennifer Weiner's
"Celebrating Books Clubs II" was sponsored by the Friends of the Horsham Library, a group of interested citizens and Library users who donate their time, money and expertise to help assure that the library is a "topnotch" resource for the community. stories about her salad days as a reporter for the Center Daily Times, her tales of finding, then dumping an agent, then finding a more sympatico agent who got her book published, swung a movie deal, and earned her major brownie points with her grandmother! 
Weiner's latest novel Fly Away Home was available for sale. Jennifer Weiner autographed books for all 
and graciously posed for pictures with her fans. 
Readers who attended "Celebrating Books Clubs II" networked with each other, trading tips on programming for their respective book discussion groups. They received demonstrations of library resources such as the online reader's advisory database "NoveList Plus" and the library's downloadable audio books and eBooks. They played the Jennifer Jeopardy game, answering questions based on Weiner's novels.
